WA GP Practice of the Year 2021 We are honoured to be named WA General Practice of the Year by the RACGP, recognising our commitment to quality healthcare. Our History Established in November 2003, Ellen Health has grown from a traditional family practice to a comprehensive, extended-hours primary health facility. We respect the Noongar people, the traditional custodians of this land, and welcome all to our place of healing. Our journey began at 59 Ellen Street, initially as Ellen Street Family Practice. After merging with Fremantle General Practice and acquiring Dr John Troy’s practice in 2011, we rebranded as Ellen Health. In May 2014, we moved to the Historic Beacon Theatre, receiving commendation for heritage conservation. Ellen Health at the Beacon Theatre Our purpose-built medical centre offers a functional and comfortable workspace. The upper level houses our general practice, while the ground floor includes Western Diagnostic Pathology, Wray Avenue Pharmacy, Lifecare Physiotherapy, and Fremantle Clinical Psychology and Counselling, providing integrated community services. Key Services 7-Day General Practice: Comprehensive health checks, chronic disease care (asthma, heart disease, diabetes). Specialised Services: Women’s and men’s health, family planning, pregnancy care, sexual health, menopause services. Wellness Services: Nutritional and lifestyle counselling, mental health services, pain management. Occupational Healthcare: Workers’ compensation, employment medicals, commercial diving, driving, and aviation medicals, audiology, alcohol, and drug screening. Emergency Services: Local emergency care, reducing hospital visits with our well-equipped treatment room and nursing staff.
