
Amanda Downsborough
About
Amanda Downsborough is the Founder of Brain Kids, a Functional Medicine practice dedicated exclusively to children with Autism. Drawing on more than two decades of experience in child health, Amanda takes an investigative approach to understanding the biological, nutritional, gut, immune, genetic, and environmental factors that may be influencing a child's development, behaviour, learning, and wellbeing. Amanda holds a Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine and has undertaken extensive postgraduate training through leading organisations, including the Medical Academy of Paediatric Special Needs (MAPS), the MINDD Foundation, ACNEM, Cogence Functional Immunology, and more. She is currently furthering her studies in Functional Developmental Behavioural Neuroimmunology, as well as completing a Fellowship with MAPS.
