About

Margaret is a registered psychologist holding an Advanced Graduate Diploma of Psychology from Monash University (2018) and a Bachelor of Psychological Science from the University of New England (2014). In 2022 she completed her training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy recognised by the World Health Organisation and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies as the gold standard treatment for PTSD. EMDR is designed to help reduce the physical and emotional distress associated with past traumatic experiences — whether that's assault, abuse, accidents, natural disasters, or any situation where your sense of safety was affected — and is supported by a rapidly growing body of scientific research. Margaret also draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in her practice, giving her a broad toolkit to address symptoms such as intrusive memories, anxiety, emotional flooding, nightmares, and low self-esteem.

At CK Health, Margaret's approach is to meet you where you are — working holistically and collaboratively with you in a calm, relaxed environment to help you achieve your treatment goals. She understands that traumatic experiences, even those that happened many months or years ago, can continue to affect your daily life in ways that feel overwhelming and hard to move past. Whether you are dealing with the aftermath of a specific event or navigating longer-term patterns of distress, Margaret is committed to supporting you through that process with care and without judgment.
