Sharon Maja
About
Feeling exhausted, foggy or anxious, and lost your zest for life in your 40s or 50s, but told your tests are “normal”? Dr Sharon Maja helps you find out why.
Dr Sharon is a Specialist GP (FRACGP) with almost 30 years of clinical experience across South Africa, Canada and Australia, and Director of Next Practice Norwood. She has completed functional medicine certificate with the Institute for Functional Medicine. She is also certified in Women-Centred Coaching and she is currently completing a Certificate in Women’s Health and Wellness. Her particular focus is pre-, peri- and post-menopause.
Through her 3-step approach (Reveal, Rebuild, Renew), she looks at hormones, sleep, stress, nutrition, gut and metabolic health. Applying the principles of Functional and Lifestyle Medicine, she then creates a personalised plan and supports you with regular reviews. As a GP, she can prescribe, refer and coordinate your care, combining evidence-based medical options with practical lifestyle strategies.
Dr Sharon has also worked extensively in Remote, Rural and Aboriginal communities, both in person and via Telehealth, for more than 12 years. She consults at Next Practice Norwood and via Telehealth.
