Upon relocating to Australia, he achieved a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Flinders University School of Medicine in 1987. With a wealth of experience in general practice, he served as a visiting GP at the Adelaide Childrenís Hospital from 1988 to 1999. Proficient in both English and Vietnamese, he holds membership in the Australian Lifestyle Medicine Association (ALMA) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
